지역 치과병원 연계 디지털 재료매뉴얼 제작활동에 참여한 치위생(학)과 학생의 학습경험에 관한 질적연구 = A Qualitative Study on the Learning Experiences of Dental Hygiene Students Participating in a Digital Dental Material Manual Development Project Linked to Local Dental Clinics

국문 초록 (Abstract)

연구배경: 본 연구의 목적은 지역 치과병원과 연계하여 디지털 재료매뉴얼 제작활동에 참여한 치위생(학)과 학생들의 학습경험을 탐색하고 그 교육적 의미를 분석하는 것이다.
연구방법: 연구참여자는 치위생(학)과 3학년 학생 5명으로, 2025년 9월부터 11월까지 반구조화 심층면담을 통해 자료를 수집하였다. 필요시 이메일과 전화면담을 통해 내용을 보완하였으며, 수집된 자료는 Braun과 Clarke(2006) 이 제시한 6단계 주제분석 절차를 따라 분석하였다. 연구의 신뢰도 확보를 위해 참여자 확인(member checking)과 동료검토(peer debriefing)를 병행하였다.
연구결과: 주제분석 결과, 5개의 주요 주제와 15개의 하위 주제가 도출되었다. 주요 주제는 (1) 이론과 현장을 잇는 실무 중심 학습 경험, (2) 스스로 배우고 구성하는 자기주도적 성장, (3) 디지털 매체를 통한 학습몰입과 효율 성 향상, (4) 피드백을 통한 협업과 소통의 확장, (5) 전문직으로 성장하는 자아인식의 변화로 나타났다. 학생들은 디지털 매뉴얼 제작과정을 통해 학교에서 배운 이론을 임상실무와 연결하고, 교수 및 실무자와의 협업을 통해 책임감과 성취감을 경험하였으며, 실제 임상에서 활용 가능한 자료를 제작함으로써 전문직 정체성을 확립하였다.
결론:지역 치과병원 연계 디지털 재료매뉴얼 제작활동은 치위생(학)과 학생들의 자기주도적 학습능력, 문제해결력, 협업능력, 전문직 정체성 형성에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 본 연구는 치위생교육에서 디지털 기술과 산학협력형 실무학습을 융합한 교육모델의 가능성을 제시하며, 향후 현장 연계 디지털 교육프로그램 개발의 기초자료로 활용될 수 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Background: This study aimed to explore the learning experiences and educational meanings of dental hygiene students who participated in the development of digital material manuals in collaboration with local dental clinics.
Methods:Five third-year dental hygiene students participated in the study. Data were collected through semistructured in-depth interviews from September to November 2025, supplemented with follow-up emails or phone interviews if necessary. The interview transcripts were analyzed using Braun and Clarke’s (2006) sixstep thematic analysis method. Research credibility was strengthened through member checking and peer debriefing with an experienced qualitative researcher.
Results: Thematic analysis identified five main themes and fifteen subthemes: (1) practice-based learning bridging theory and clinical field, (2) self-directed growth through independent learning and construction, (3) enhanced learning engagement and efficiency through digital media, (4) expansion of collaboration and communication through feedback, and (5) development of professional identity as future dental hygienists. Students connected theoretical knowledge with clinical practice, experienced responsibility and accomplishment through collaboration with instructors and practitioners and developed their professional identity by producing materials applicable to real-world practice.
Conclusion: Participation in the digital material manual project in collaboration with local dental clinics enhanced students’ self-directed learning, problem-solving ability, collaboration skills, and professional identity formation. This study highlights the educational potential of a digital, industry-academia cooperation-based learning model in dental hygiene education and provides a foundation for developing future field-oriented digital education programs.
