This study analyzes strategies for promoting data-driven business in credit card companies in the era of MyData. A mixed methods research (sequential explanatory design) was employed, combining panel data–based quantitative analysis (e.g., number of MyData users, data business performance, ROA/ROE) with case studies. The quantitative results indicate that the expansion of data-related businesses has had a partially positive effect on increasing other operating income but has not directly contributed to improving asset or equity profitability. The qualitative analysis identified multiple inhibiting factors, including regulatory constraints, consumer perception, data quality, and platform stability, while highlighting key success factors such as the establishment of specialized data units, tailored services, and expanded collaboration in certain companies. Overall, the findings suggest that credit card companies need to pursue a balanced growth strategy that integrates organizational capability enhancement, business model innovation, ecosystem and network expansion, and robust personal data protection and quality management. This study is expected to contribute to future performance evaluations and the strategic direction of MyData initiatives.
