Models have long played a central role in the fashion industry, and their significance continues to grow. With the rise of new media, the modeling profession has expanded beyond fashion shows and magazine photoshoots to include acting, entertainment, musical theatre, and content creation. As diverse individuals are now being cast as models, the boundaries of the profession have become increasingly blurred. This study reexamines the definition of a model and explores changes in the fashion modeling industry. U sing literature review and in-depth interviews with four experts with over 20 years of experience in the modeling field, the research analyzed shifts in model activities, education, and social perception. Findings reveal that the role of fashion models has expanded into multidimensional forms of expression, leading to the emergence of “modeltainers.” Model education now fosters broader career potential, while new standards of beauty and social inclusivity are taking shape. U ltimately, the model is redefined as an individual who embodies personal identity and creativity beyond appearance.
