This study examines how artificial intelligence (AI) transforms collaborative artistic practice and arts education through a case analysis of the 2025 premiere of “Deux lunes mais une ombre (Two Moons, Yet One Shadow),” a work combining AI-generated video, piano four hands, and electronic music. Focusing on the interplay of visual and sonic motifs, it explores how duality and integration are expressed as two distinct layers (“two moons”) merging into a shared experiential form (“one shadow”). The analysis clarifies the roles of composer, performers, AI systems, and video artist. It highlighs prompt engineering as a key practice that bridges artistic intention and algorithmic output while revealing creative constraints and possibilities. It further considers the reconfiguration of authorship and agency in AI-assisted creation, where human artists act as curators and system designers. Finally, the study outlines broader implications for arts education, proposing that AI-based collaborations offer valuable models for cross-media curricula integrating creativity, collaboration, and AI literacy.
