This study collected data through an online survey of workers who have been working at beauty companies in Seoul and Gyeonggi for more than six months to understand the effect of career management behavior on self-efficacy and career commitment and the mediating effect of self-efficacy. The collection period is from January 15 to February 15, 2025, and 413 copies were used for the final analysis. Career management behavior consisted of four factors: career exploration, career planning, career strategy execution, and career evaluation, and self-efficacy was divided into two factors: individual self-efficacy and social self-efficacy, and the main analysis results are as follows. First, career management behavior was found to partially affect career planning and career exploration, which is a sub-factor of self-efficacy, and social self-efficacy was found to have an effect in the order of career strategy execution, career planning, and career evaluation. Second, it was found that career management behavior affects career planning, career exploration, and career strategy execution factors excluding career evaluation on career commitment. Third, in the relationship between career management behavior and career commitment, personal self-efficacy was found to play a mediating role in career exploration and career planning, and social self-efficacy was found to play a mediating role only in career planning of career management behavior. It is of academic significance that this study confirmed the influence of career management behavior that can promote career commitment of beauty service workers and found that self-efficacy, an important psychological factor in interpersonal relationships and social role performance, has a mediating effect in this relationship.
