자동차 디자인과 모빌리티 디자인의 개념적 차이 탐구 = A Pursuit on the Differences in the Concepts of Automotive Design and Mobility Design

The automotive industry is facing radical changes from automobile to mobility as from an individual product to a total moving solution with the current digital technology. Accordingly, questions from academic and practical perspectives are being raised about the difference between traditional ‘automotive design’ and new ‘mobility design.’ This paper aims to explore the differences between automotive design and mobility design. The main scope of this study is to examine the facts related to traditional automobiles and their design developing activities, and to compare them to mobility design developing as a new means of transportation and concept. In addition, it aimed to distinguish the differences between their designs. Mobility design be seen perspective of systematic thinking connects hardware with users, environments, also values of society with reflecting sustainability, adapting changes of urban area, designer roles, which are differ from the automobile design pursued the realization of vehicles as complete products.
