This study structurally analyzed the mediating effect of parental support andteacher support in the relationship between depression and social isolation ofmulticultural youth, and analyzed how the relationship characteristics betweenvariables change according to the regional size. To this end, SPSS 23.0 andAMOS 29.0 were used as analysis targets for the 5th year (2023) data of the'Multicultural Adolescents Panel Study' of the Korea Youth Policy Institute. As aresult of the analysis, first, the depression of multicultural youth acted as asignificant influencing factor to increase the sense of social isolation. Second, inthe relationship between depression and social isolation of multicultural youth,teacher support was found to have a significant mediating effect, but parentalsupport did not show a significant mediating effect. Third, it was found that therelationship between variables showed a significant difference according to theregional size. In particular, it was found that the higher the teacher support inlarge cities, the more it acts as a protective factor that significantly reduces thesense of social isolation. Based on the above research results, suggestions weresuggested to prepare a program to strengthen teacher competency reflectingregional characteristics and to intervene in customized policies for multiculturalyouth.
