This study aimed to explore how elementary school teachers perceive the 2022 revised national curriculum and what they experience during its implementation in the field. To achieve this objective, a Focus Group Interview (FGI) was conducted with 11 elementary school teachers working in the Jeonnam region, and the data were analyzed qualitatively. The results of the study are as follows: First, while teachers sympathized with the concept of "autonomy," a key term presented in the general guideline of the curriculum, and acknowledged its necessity, they also expressed conceptual confusion and anxiety. Second, in the context of digital education, teachers experienced significant disparities due to personal backgrounds and regional contexts. Third, regardless of the curriculum revision and its implementation, teachers were individually developing their own teaching expertise. Fourth, there were no significant differences in assessment compared to previous curricula. Based on these findings, implications were suggested for curriculum development and implementation.
