The purpose of this study is to analyze the types of teacher professionalism and the factors influencing it, and to devise practical measures to enhance teacher professionalism. For the study, latent profile analysis was conducted using data from a survey on the perception of teachers' level of professionalism among elementary and secondary school teachers in Seoul. The major findings showed that the types of teacher professionalism were divided into three types: low, medium, and high. In addition, factors that increase the probability of belonging to a high-professional group compared to a low-professional group were identified as the individual and professional background of the teacher, school characteristics, and areas of teacher professional development activities. This means that in order to improve teacher professionalism, both individual efforts by teachers and school-level efforts are necessary. This study derived and discussed implications for improving teachers' professionalism based on the research results.
