This study empirically analyzed the effectiveness of integrated arts therapy programs in improving the psychological and emotional well-being of older adults in the context of an aging society. Fifteen experimental studies published in South Korea between 2015 and May 2025 were selected based on PRISMA 2020 guidelines and PICOS criteria. A meta-analysis using a random-effects model was conducted with R statistical software, extracting 33 effect sizes. Subgroup analyses were also conducted to examine differences based on moderating variables. The overall standardized mean difference was 0.56 but did not reach statistical significance due to high heterogeneity. Subgroup analyses revealed positive effects on various psychosocial outcomes, particularly for depression and ego integrity. Interventions consisting of more than 11 sessions or lasting 50–60 minutes per session showed significantly larger effect sizes. No significant publication bias was detected based on funnel plots and Egger’s regression test. These findings provide synthesized evidence on the effectiveness of integrated arts therapy for older adults and may inform future program development and evaluation in clinical settings.
