영화 전공 교육과정 내 AI 교육 도입을 위한 글로벌 동향 및 교육 사례 분석 = Global Trends and Educational Case Analysis for the Introduction of AI Education in Film Major Curricula

This study examines the impact of rapid advancements in generative artificial intelligence (AI) technology on film production and film education, and seeks to establish directions for reforming AI education programs in Korean film major curricula through comparative analysis of AI-based film ed ucation programs at major domestic and international universities and educational institutions.
The research methodology involved investigating the operational status of AI-based film education at 21 major overseas universities across the United States, Europe, and Asia, as well as 9 domestic educational institutions. The comparative analysis focused on curriculum structure, AI utilization approaches, ethics education, industry-academia cooperation, and strategies for enhancing practical field adaptability.
The analysis revealed that leading international universities have systematically developed in tegrated educational models encompassing AI tool utilization, ethics education, field-connected proj ects, and industry-academia-international network construction. Korean universities demonstrated specialized approaches focused on enhancing field adaptability through intensive short-term educa tion, interdisciplinary convergence, project-based practice, integrated ethics education, and in dustry-academia cooperation with cross-field educational linkages. However, areas requiring im provement were identified in long-term structural development, independent ethics education tracks, and global industry-academia cooperation infrastructure.
This research proposes the construction of long-term and systematic AI-integrated curricula, estab lishment of independent ethics education tracks, introduction of outcome-oriented evaluation sys tems, expansion of innovative infrastructure, and strengthening of global cooperation networks for the innovative reform of domestic film major AI education programs. In the approaching AI era, these recommendations are expected to serve as foundational materials for designing domestic film education models and establishing related policies, thereby making substantial contributions to en hancing the competitiveness of film major education and creating sustainable educational ecosystems.
