This study aims to empirically analyze how Factors Influencing Game Attendance at home stadiums of Citizen Football Clubs in the K League 1 affect spectator Viewing Satisfaction, Recommendation to Others, and Revisit Intention. Additionally, the study seeks to derive practical implications for the strategic management of citizen clubs. A total of 265 spectators who attended matches of six citizen clubs in the 2025 K League 1 season were selected through convenience sampling. Data were collected via a structured questionnaire and analyzed using SPSS 26.0 through correlation analysis, simple regression, and multiple regression analyses.
The empirical findings are as follows: First, the match attendance decision factors had both positive and negative partial effects on spectator satisfaction. Second, these factors had a partial positive influence on word-of-mouth recommendations. Third, they had both positive and negative partial effects on intention to revisit. Fourth, spectator satisfaction positively influenced word-of-mouth recommendations. Fifth, spectator satisfaction also had a positive effect on revisit intention.
These results suggest that citizen clubs need to strengthen the psychosocial factors of fans, improve stadium accessibility, and implement effective fan communication strategies. By doing so, clubs can enhance spectator satisfaction, thereby fostering sustainable fan engagement through increased revisit intentions and voluntary recommendations.
