The purpose of this study was to examine the structural relationships among theory of planned behavior (TPB), exercise adherence, and life satisfaction among participants in recreational Jokgu. To achieve this objective, data were collected from 230 adult recreational Jokgu participants, and a final sample of 217 responses was analyzed. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and structural equation modeling (SEM). Specifically, SEM was conducted with path coefficients and bootstrapping procedures. The results revealed the following: First, TPB significantly and positively influenced exercise adherence. Second, TPB also had a significant positive effect on life satisfaction. Third, exercise adherence significantly and positively influenced life satisfaction. Fourth, exercise adherence partially mediated the relationship between TPB and life satisfaction. In conclusion, to effectively enhance the quality of life of recreational Jokgu participants, it is necessary to develop and implement strategies that promote long-term exercise adherence and internalization.
