    This study was conducted to identify the terminology of neok-dong-be-gi, analyze its meaning, and record it. In order to carry out the purpose of this study, various literature reviews related to neok-dong-be-gi and on-site surveys in Jeju were conducted to collect the meaning of terms recognized by those who experienced it. As a result, the following conclusions were drawn. First, in relation to the play behavior, there were terms such as (yul-da) playing yut, (sa-ri-da) arranging the yut-ga-rak, (bu-jji-da) contribute money in order to participate in a bet, (bu-jjim-tak) the money staked to initiate a bet, and (nu-un sut san mo) a phrase meaning ‘Yut if it lies down, Mo if it stands up’. Second, in relation to the game board, there were terms such as (bang) the advantageous point corresponding to the fifth, (an-bang) the central hub of the game board considered the most advantageous starting point for deploying tokens, (dwi) the tenth point, (Cheong-Wa-Dae & In-cheon) the safest and most advantageous spot, and (nal-bat) the exit point of the game board where a token completes its course. Third, in relation to the participants, it was confirmed that specific terms were used to describe roles and characteristics. (Mal-bang) the person who moves the tokens on the game board, (Bang-tung-i) those who encourage others to participate in betting, and (Bo-ri-yut) a term referring to a Yut game played by inexperienced or unskilled players.
