Through the analysis of self-efficacy, this study examined the relationship between lookism and beauty care behavior. The study was conducted as a survey from 7 October to 12 November 2024 with 370 women interested in beauty, and 363 responses were used for the final analysis. Seven responses were excluded due to incomplete or invalid answers. Frequency, factor, and reliability analyses, as well as three-level mediated multiple regression analysis, were conducted using SPSS 28.0. The results of the study found that lookism has a positive effect on self-efficacy and positively influences beauty care behavior. Furthermore, self-efficacy fully mediated the relationship between lookism and beauty care behavior. These findings suggest that women's beauty care behaviors are dependent on individual motivation and willingness to act as well as lookism. The results of this study are expected to influence social perceptions of the relationship between lookism and beauty care behaviors, as well as provide data for program development and education in various beauty industries.
