중장년 남성의 가치관이 경제적 도움 요청 행동에 미치는 영향|RISS 상세보기

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 소득보장정책 논의에서 상대적으로 소외되었던 중장년 남성을 대상으로, 가치관이 경제적 도움 요청 행동에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 이를 위해 2022년 ‘한국인의 의식·가치관 조사’을 활용하여, 45∼64세 남 성 898명에 대해 다항 로지스틱 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 분석 결과, 우선 중장년 남성은 경제적 도움 요청 행동 시 비공식적 도움 요청이 가장 일반적으로 나타났는데, 특히 개인주의 성향이 강하거나 정치이념 성향이 보수적일 수록 비공식적 도움을 선호하였다. 반면 사회 공정성 인식이 높을수록 공식적 도움 요청 가능성이 증가했으며, 사 회갈등을 높게 인식할수록 공식적 도움 요청이 감소했다. 끝으로 본 연구는, 중장년 남성의 복지 사각지대 해소를 위해 가치관과 경제적 도움 요청 행동에 대한 이해가 선행되어야 하며, 다양한 공식 및 비공식 자원의 접근성 제 고 방안을 모색할 필요성을 제안하였다.

This study examines the impact of values on financial help-seeking behaviors among middle-aged men, a group relatively overlooked in discussions on income security policies. Using data from the 2022 'Survey on Koreans' Consciousness and Values', a multinomial logistic regression analysis was conducted on 898 men aged 45∼64. The results indicate that informal help-seeking was the most common behavior among middle-aged men, particularly among those with strong individualistic tendencies or conservative political orientations. In contrast, a higher perception of social fairness increased the likelihood of formal help-seeking, whereas a stronger perception of social conflict decreased it. This study underscores the need to understand middle-aged men’s values and financial help-seeking behaviors to address their welfare blind spots and highlights the importance of enhancing access to diverse formal and informal support resources.
