The purpose of this study was to find out how a child suffering from a lack of permissive space and good objects change through subject-related art therapy. The client was a 5-year-old child with a pervasive developmental delay and proceeded with a total of 12 sessions, 40 minutes per session. In this study, treatment was performed by providing an acceptable space in the art therapy process, becoming a good enough therapist, and the results are as follows. First, it was effective for the healthy growth and development of children with developmental delays, such as interest in art, self-expression, interaction, language expression, small muscles, and control. Second, it was shown that the interaction between mother and child and the perception of mock art therapy changed positively through parental counseling to talk about the child’s positive changes and art therapy process during the art therapy process. Through this study, it was confirmed that subject-related art therapy is effective for healthy developmental growth of children suffering from permissive space and good subject deficiency.
