국방혁신 4.0과 연계된 육군의 혁신전략 = The ROK Army’s innovation strategy linked to Defense Innovation 4.0

Recently, the ROK military is promoting Defense Innovation 4.0 to effectively overcome the challenges of the defense environment, and the Army is accelerating the transition to the Army TIGER system centering on the Manned UnManned Teaming(MUM-T) systems. As the ROK-U.S. alliance is expected to strengthen in the future, the military role of the ROK Army is expected to be strengthened as well. Therefore, it is necessary for the ROK Army to develop interoperability by benchmarking the military innovation cases of the U.S. Army, which is pursuing Multi-Domain Operations and Modernization Strategies. Accordingly, in this study, the ROK Army's response strategy was derived to effectively implement Defense Innovation 4.0, which is being promoted to overcome the challenges of the defense environment in the recent security situation of complex crises. To this end, recent changes in the security environment in Northeast Asia and the operational environment on the Korean Peninsula were evaluated, and in connection with the trend of strengthening the ROK-U.S. alliance, cases of military innovation by the U.S. Army were analyzed and implications were considered. In addition, by analyzing the internal and external environment, opportunities and threats and strengths and weaknesses were identified, and based on this, the ROK Army's response strategy was derived.
