섹슈얼리티와 폭력의 아이러니 : 1980년대 운동권 여대생의 정치적 주체성 구성에 관한 연구 = The Irony of Sexuality and Violence - On the Politics of the 1980s Undongkwon Female College Students

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This article examines the self-narrative texts of three female college student activists in the undongkwon group, namely Kim Eun-sook, Kwon In-sook, and Lim Su-kyung, who played crucial roles in the significant incidents considered as turning points during the 1980s pro-democracy movement: the 1982 Busan USIS Cultural Center arson incident, the 1986 Bucheon sexual harassment and accusation incident, and the 1989 North Korea visit. The formation of political subjectivity among the female student activists engaged in those three incidents involves the act of giving narrative accounts of their political actions which were utterly unacknowledged by society at the time. Additionally, gender and sexuality revolve around the parameters of female activists’ subjectivities being acknowledged, given that their ‘risky and dangerous’ political actions could inevitably disrupt the social norms of gender and sexuality imposed upon them.
