팬데믹 이후 전시공간의 디지털가상전시 장단점과 향후 방향에 관한 연구 = A Study on Advantages and Disadvantages of Digital Exhibitions in Exhibition Spaces and Their Future Orientations in the Post-Pandemic Era

국문 초록 (Abstract)

급변하는 디지털 기술과 팬데믹을 경험하며 전시공간의 운영 방향과 방식에 관심이 심화되고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 국내·외 전시공간의 현황을 살펴보고 적용되고 있는 디지털 기술과 가상전시 동향, 온·오프라인전시의 기술과 한계점, 장·단점, 다양한 디지털 기술과 가상전시의 기술 적용사례를 조사하고 설문조사를 통하여 카이제곱 검증을 실시하였다. 연구결과 디지털 기술을 활용한 가상전시공간에 대한 기대치와 관심도가 매우 높았으며 발달하는 과학 기술은 현실 세계와 가상세계의 영역을 좁혀가고 있으며 제한된 시간과 공간에서 벗어나 전시콘텐츠의 영역을 확장시키고 있었다. 그러나 한편으론 전시물에 대한 현장감을 통한 공감력과 감성 교감을 선호하는 오프라인 전시도 중요함으로 디지털 기술의 진보 외에도 전시물 생산자와 전시기획의 사회적 참여 요인들도 함께 반영되어야 한다는 것을 알 수 있었다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The rapidly changing digital technology and the pandemic have drawn people's attention to the directions and methods of exhibition space management. The purpose of this study was to investigate the current status of exhibition spaces at home and abroad, to study the trends of digital technology and virtual exhibitions, and the technologies, limitations, advantages, and disadvantages of offline and online exhibitions, and to collect examples of the application of various digital technologies and virtual exhibition techniques. For this purpose, a survey was conducted with chi-square tests.
The results showed strong expectations and interest in virtual exhibition spaces using digital technologies. They also showed that advances in science and technology are narrowing the gap between the real and virtual worlds, expanding the scope of exhibition content, and freeing it from temporal and spatial limitations. However, on the other hand, as offline exhibitions that favor empathy and emotional sympathy through a sense of the presence of exhibits are important, in addition to the advancement of digital technology, the exhibition producers and social engagement factors in exhibition planning should be reflected together.
