    This paper analyzes the back ground, process and impact of AI and robotics technology adoption in Japanese municipalities. In Japan local government have seen a surge in AI and Robotic technology adoption since two thousand twenty. local government are using AI technology as a way to solve problems such as population decline, aging, economic decline and lack of financial resources. The goals of AI and robotics technology are to increase administrative efficiency, improve resident services, and ensure local sustainability.
    Japanese municipalities adopt AI and robotics technologies Mobilization varies by prefecture and city. The characteristic is that the request from the administrative organization is bigger than the responsibility of the chief of the local government. Especially in municipalities, several municipalities are cooperating as a means to solve the problems of insufficient financial resources and insufficient learning data.
    In Japanese local governments, RPA systems are mainly in the fields of finance, accounting and local tax. The RPA system is effective for routine work in which the same work is repeatedly processed. The effects of the introduction of AI and robotics technology are shown in the areas of administrative efficiency and resident services. In the accounting area, the working hours of civil servants have been reduced by 90 per cent.
    In addition, in relation to the working hours of civil servants, the processing time of veteran employees and newly appointed employees has been reduced from 2.6 times to 1.2 times. It has been reduced. The introduction of AI and robotics technology in Japanese municipalities is recognized as an optimal and new way to solve local problems.
