전등사서의 역사와 『직지』 편찬의 의의 고찰 = The compilation and peculiarity of Zikji(直指) by BaekUn-KyungHan

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The origin of the patriarch seon(祖師禪) is caused from the west by Bodhidharma. That is because the patriarch seon has been formed and passed down by the Bodhidharma's descendants. All the records of transmit the light that appeared in the patriarch seon were recorded from the beginning of Bodhidharma.
These the records of transmit the light appeared in Seon-sects from the early 8th century.
In the late 8th century, 33patriarchs, including the 28patriarchs of India and 6patriarchs of China, were established in the Caoxidashichuan(曹溪大師傳) and the Tanjing(壇經). Since then, the records of transmit the light have become a means to show off the power by revealing and disseminating the end of each sects, as Baolinchuan(寶林傳), Zutangji(祖堂集) and Jingdechuandenglu(景德傳燈錄 succeeded it.
In the late Koryo period, BaekUn-KyungHan added supplements to the Fojuzhizhixintiyaojie(佛祖直指心體要節) which was introduced in Yuan(元). Therefore, Zikji(直指) is not a pure creation but a form of his own view that is respected to the records of transmit.
In terms of form, Kyunghan was free from the records of transmit composed of sects and legal veins, and supplemented the characters relatively freely. And if necessary, the preachings were recorded again or again. The lightness also gives annotations to the limited part. For example, 14comments were applied to the passage of the Fojuzhizhixintiyaojie.
This was to be used as a character seen in the past to the records of transmit. Here, we can see that Kyunghan had the intention to deepen his perspective on the book of seon analects as well as the meaning of the records of transmit, which is the original function of Zikji.
