This study verified whether the Chinese people's experiences in visiting Korea and using Korean contents affect their attitudes toward Korea and their willingness to consume Korean goods in the future. It also verified the degree of awareness and pros and cons of ‘Ban on Korean Culture’ among Chinese people and its effect on attitudes toward Korea and its willingness to buy Korean goods. The study found that the more Chinese people visited Korea and used Korean Contents, they are more favorable to Korea and more willing to purchase Korean goods. Also, if Chinese people knew the more about ‘ban,’ their attitude toward Korea and willingness to buy Korean goods bacame the significantly higher. Meanwhile, when their experience in Korea and the experience of using Korean contents were controlled, the results showed that the relative influence of the Chinese people’s perception of the ‘ban’ and their stance on it were different, depending on the dependent variable. In other words, the Chinese people's perception of the ‘ban’ had a higher impact on their attitudes toward Korea, and the better they knew about the ‘ban,’ the more positive their attitude toward Korea. However, their willingness to buy Korean goods in the future were stronger when they disagree with the ‘ban,’ while the influence of their perception of it were not statistically significant.
