이름을 품은 한시-조선조 잡명시(雜名詩)의 종류와 창작 실상- = Chinese poetry with Name - Types and Creative Writing Status of Various Style Poetry in Joseon Dynasty -

국문 초록 (Abstract)

雜名詩란 해당 명칭에 포함되는 同種의 글자들을 싯구에 삽입하되, 이를 일정한 규칙에 의해 배열하면서 의미까지 이어질 수 있도록 조직하는 雜體詩의 일종이다. 잡명시의 영역은 徐師曾의 『詩體明辨』 내 <雜數詩> <雜名詩>에서 제시한 시체군을 비롯하여, 해당 명칭과 관련한 詩語를 정해진 싯구에 삽입하여 짓는 시 양식 전체로 범주화할 수 있다. 한국고전번역원에서 제공하는 한국문집총간DB을 활용하여 조선조에 활동한 문인들의 문집에 수록된 잡명시 작품 현황을 파악한 결과, 각종 鳥獸 草木 蟲魚 禽獸에 해당하는 이름을 삽입하여 짓는 演雅詩, 金·石·絲·竹·匏·土·革·木 등 여덟 악기를 삽입하여 짓는 八音詩, 建·除·滿·平·定·執·破·危·成·收·開·閉 등 12辰을 삽입하여 짓는 建除詩, 十二支에 해당하는 글자를 삽입하여 짓는 十二辰詩, 1·2·3 등 구체적인 숫자를 삽입하여 짓는 數名詩, 동서남북에 각각 위치한 총 28개의 별자리를 삽입하여 짓는 二十八宿詩, 약재 이름을 삽입하여 짓는 藥名詩, 사람 이름을 삽입하여 짓는 人名詩 등 총 8종의 잡명시의 창작 현황과 그 구체적인 작법을 확인할 수 있었다. 이러한 작품군을 통해 잡명시 창작상 나타나는 특징을 정리해보면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 잡명시는 詩題에 구체적인 시체명 혹은 모방작을 명시해두고 있다. 이러한 제목 표기 방식은 해당 작품에 모방작이 존재한다는 사실과 내용보다 형식에 주목하려는 작자의 작시 목적을 보여주는 것이라 할 수 있다. 둘째, 잡명시는 작법상의 正格과 變格이 공존한다. 잡명시 창작은 애초 내용보다 형식에 대한 관심에서 비롯되었기 때문에 창작상 보다 더 工巧한 형식미 구현을 위해 일부 작자들은 기존 작법을 개조하여 형식적 변화를 도모하였다. 이러한 작법상의 정격과 변격의 공존은 잡명시가 가진 이중적 창작 제한에서 오는 구속에서 다소간 벗어나려는 작가들의 일종의 자기 모색이라 할 수 있다. 셋째, 잡명시의 영역은 고정적이지 않다. 이름과 관계되는 것이면 그 어떤 것도 삽입될 수 있다는 작법상의 특징으로 유사한 형식성을 띠고 병렬적으로 파생될 수 있기 때문이다. 이러한 영역의 축소와 확대는 기존 양식에 만족하지 못하고 변화를 꾀하고자 하는 잡명시 작가들의 창작 의식과 무관하지 않다. 네 번째, 잡명시는 漢文字의 重義的 특성을 활용한 시체이다. 삽입 글자는 싯구 내에서 해당 이름과 무관하게 풀이되는 경우가 매우 흔하며, 이는 잡명시 창작에 문자와 언어에 대한 연상력, 字形에 대한 관심과 이해, 그리고 해학적 奇智 등이 두루 어우러져야 보다 완성도 높은 작품으로 기능할 수 있었음을 의미한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Various style poetry(雜名詩) is a kind of diverse style poem (雜體詩) in which similar characters involved in names are added in lines, arranged in accordance with consistent rules, and ultimately connected to meanings. Using the Anthology of Korean Classics DB provided by the Institute for the Translation of Korean Classics, this study identified the current creative writing and specific compositions of the current list of various style poems in literary works of writers in Joseon Dynasty found that there are literary lists of various style poetry including Yeona poetry where bird, tree, fish, and animal names are added, eight sound poetry where eight different musical instruments such as gold and plants are inserted, Geonjae poetry where 12 servants are added, twelve servant poetry to which twelve animals belong are added, number name poetry where specific numbers such as 1 or 2 are added, twenty eight verses poetry where 28 constellations are added, medicine name poetry where medical ingredient names are added, and human name poetry where names are added. Based on these works, the characteristics of writing various style poetry can be summarized as follows. First, this poetry notes specific poetry name or imitated work on the title. This title style intends to showed the fact that an imitated work is preceded to the second work and the writer's intention to focus on style rather than story. Second, regularity and metrical rule in terms of composition work together. Since the writing of various style poetry is typically derived from interests in form rather than story, some authors have altered the previous composition style and contributed to the stylistic transformation in order to achieve more firm formal beauty rather than creative beauty. The co-existence of regularity and irregularity can be interpreted as self-exploration of writers to avoid constraints from double creative limitations of various style poetry. Third, the extent of this poetry is flexible. Since it is characterized by the fact that anything associated with names can be inserted, it seems to have similar forms and spread in parallel. This diminution and augmentation of the scope is consistent with the creative awareness of poets who desire for change incapable of being content with the previous style. Fourth, this poetry uses the ambiguity of Chinese characters. Inserted characters are typically interpreted in verses regardless of names. This indicates that more highly achieved works can be made based on the combination of association between creative characters and language, interests and understanding of sentence structure, and humorous techniques.
