事實的 탐색과 飛躍的 인식의 力學－李淸俊의 ？이어도？를 대상으로－ = The Dynamics of Realistic Exploration and Illogical Perception

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study examined meanings that Lee Cheong-jun's Ieo Island tries to convey, while attempting to understand the work focused on its structure of exploration. The result of this study revealed that, in Ieo Island, logical exploration for facts is pursued while realities and falsehoods or logic and illogic form the axes of perceptual confrontation, but facts and logic cannot be the only yardsticks of life and falsehoods in the process of exploration and illogic may be another axis of life. It is disclosed that life is sometimes restricted in the name of fate, carrying unexplainable mysterious meanings. Moreover, it is found that when man faces the realities limited by fate he has to dream another world beyond the limit. In the novel, the world of dream symbolized by Ieo Island is a fictitious, unreasonable and illogical world in the view of people outside but it is an ideal and truthful world in which the realities can be overcome in the view of people inside. Such a perception is what Lee Cheong-jun shows us in his work Ieo Island.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본고는 李淸俊의 이어도를 대상으로 探索의 構造에 초점을 두고 作品을 分析해 보았다. 그 결과 이어도에서는 事實과 虛構, 혹은 論理와 飛躍이 인식의 對立의 축을 이루면서 事實에 대한 논리적인 探索이 지향되는 가운데, 정작 探索이 진행되는 과정에서 事實과 論理가 人生의 전면적인 잣대일 수 없으며, 때론 허구와 비약이 인생의 또 다른 軸일 수 있음이 드러난다. 생은 때론 說明될 수 없는 意를 지닌 채 運命의 이름으로 制限되기도 한다. 더불어 인간은 運命的인 現實에 直面했을 때 그것에서 벗어날 수 있는 또 다른 世界를 꿈꿀 수밖에 없음도 드러난다. 作品에서 이어도로 表象되는 그 꿈의 세계는 局外者的인 視線으로 볼 때는 合理性이 결여된, 飛躍에 근거한 虛構的 世界이지만, 內部人의 눈으로 볼 때는 現實 克服이 가능한 理想의 世界이며 眞實의 世界인 것이다. 李淸俊은 이어도를 통해 바로 그와 같은 認識을 보여 주고 있다.
