Die rechtspopulistische Partei AfD in Ost- und Westdeutschland. Eine vergleichende Studie

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 논문은 우파 포퓰리즘 정당인 ‘독일을 위한 대안(AfD)’이 독일의 한 부분에만 국한되어 있는지를, 즉 동독적 현상이나 서독적 현상인지를, 아니면 전 독일적 현상인지를 분석하고자 한다. 이를 위해 먼저 우파 포퓰리즘이라는 개념이 왜 독일을 위한 대안에 적용가능한지를 설명한다. 다음으로는 다른 포퓰리즘 정당들에서 나타나는 독일을 위한 대안의 뿌리에 대해 살펴본다. 특히 자유시민연합(Bund Freier Bürger), 자유당(Die Freiheit), 쉴당(Schill-Partei)에 대해 자세히 알아본다. 이어 독일을 위한 대안의 지도부를 구성하고 있는 인물들이 동독출신인지 아니면 서독출신인지를 분석한다. 나아가 독일을 위한 대안이 동독과 서독에서 열렸던 유럽선거들, 연방선거들 및 지방선거들에서 어떤 선거결과를 거두었는지를 서로 비교한다. 마지막으로는 독일을 위한 대안의 당원 수 및 잠재적 유권자에 대해 살펴본다. 이에 기반해 동독과 서독에서 이러한 요인들이 얼마나 강하게 나타났는지를 분석하고 서로 비교한다. 이 연구의 결론은 독일을 위한 대안이 독일의 한 부분에만 국한되어 있지 않다는 것이다. 독일을 위한 대안은 전 독일적 현상이다. 그러나 전체적으로 독일을 위한 대안은 서독에서보다는 동독에서 인구 수에 비해 상대적으로 많은 잠재적 유권자 및 지지자를 갖고 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The article examines whether the right-wing populist party Alternative for Germany (AfD) is limited to only one part of Germany – that is, whether it is more of an East German or West German party – or if it is an all-German phenomenon. The study starts out explaining why the term right-wing populism is applicable to the party AfD. It includes an analysis of the roots of the AfD in other populist parties, in particular, the parties Bund Freier Bürger (Association of Free Citizens), Die Freiheit (The Freedom), and the Schill-Party. The party leaders will be examined regarding their origin from Eastern and Western Germany. The election results of the AfD in European, federal and state elections in East and West Germany are being compared. A similar comparison is carried out regarding party membership and the electoral potential of the party. These factors are examined regarding their strength in East and West Germany and subjected to a comparison, respectively. The study concludes that the party AfD is not limited to one part of the Federal Republic of Germany. It is an all-German phenomenon. Overall, we can say, however, that it, relative to the size of the population of East and West Germany, has a stronger electoral potential and more support in East Germany than in West Germany.
