청소년이 지각한 부모 양육행동 척도의 개발 및 타당화 연구 = A Study for the Development and Validation of an Inventory for Parenting Behavior Perceived by Adolescents

The purpose of this study is to develop an inventory for parenting behavior perceived by adolescents and verify its reliability and validity. The subjects were 1461 middle and high school students in Seoul. 846 subject participated in the scale development study, and 615 subjects participated in the cross-validation and prediction validity. The 80 items of parenting behavior inventory were generated through document studies, and the content validity of this initial inventory was verified by children and adolescent psychiatrists. In the scale development stage, item analysis, exploratory factor analysis and internal consistency were used to assess the initial inventory. As a result, there were 8 significant factors and 43 items were selected. A confirmatory factor analysis to cross-validate the factor structure was conducted, and the factor structure fitted well. Consequently, the sub-factors of the final parenting behavior inventory were monitoring, reasoning, inconsistency, over-expectation, intrusiveness, physical abuse, neglect and affection. As a result of multiple regression analysis for predictive validity, the total score of parenting behavior inventory predicted adolescent's total problem behavior well, Also, it showed that paternal parenting behaviour in the order of intrusiveness, neglect, affection, monitoring, and inconsistency predicted the adolescent's total score in problem behaviour. In the case of maternal parenting behaviour it came in the order of intrusiveness, neglect, inconsistency, and affection. As the result of discriminant analysis, both parents' total parenting behavior score distinguished the difference between the problem behavior group and non-problem behavior group. Among the paternal parenting behavior factors, neglect, intrusiveness and affection discriminated two groups, and in the maternal parenting behavior factors, neglect, intrusiveness and affection discriminated two groups significantly well. The parenting behavior inventory which is developed and validated in this study is a reliable and valid instrument for assessing parenting behavior, which positively or negatively influences adolescents' emotional and behavioral problems.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

청소년이 지각한 부모 양육행동 척도의 개발, 타당화 연구로서, 서울지역 일반 인문계 중․고등학교 학생, 1,461 명을 대상으로 하였다. 문헌고찰과 사전연구 및 전문가의 검토를 바탕으로 제작된 부모 양육행동 문항들에 대 해, 문항분석과 탐색적 요인분석을 실시한 결과를 고려하여 8개의 요인(아버지 및 어머니 요인: 감독, 합리적 설 명, 비일관성, 과잉기대, 과잉간섭, 학대, 방치, 애정)을 부모양육행동의 의미있는 구성요인수로 결정하였고, 이에 포함된 문항은 총 43문항이었다. 각 요인별 신뢰도는 내적일치도는 .68-.86이었고, 교차타당화에서 8요인 43문항 이 잘 부합됨을 확인하였다. 부모양육행동 척도에 대한 다중회귀분석 결과, 최종 아버지 및 어머니 양육행동 척 도의 총점은 실제 청소년의 정신병리를 반영하는 총문제행동 점수를 유의미하게 예측하였다. 또한 아버지 척도 의 요인 중 과잉간섭, 방치, 애정, 감독, 비일관성의 순서로, 어머니 척도의 요인 중 과잉간섭, 방치, 비일관성, 애정의 순서로 청소년의 총문제행동 점수를 유의미하게 예측하였다. 준거관련타당도를 위한 판별분석 결과, 최 종 부모 양육행동 척도의 총점은 문제행동집단과 비문제행동집단을 유의미하게 변별해주는 것으로 나타났고, 아 버지의 양육행동 척도의 요인 중에서는 방치, 과잉간섭, 애정요인이, 어머니의 양육행동 척도에서는 과잉간섭, 방치, 애정, 비일관성 요인이 두 집단을 유의미하게 판별하였다. 따라서 본 연구에서 개발된 부모양육행동척도는 청소년이 지각한 부모양육행동을 신뢰롭고 타당하게 측정할 수 있을 것으로 확인되었다.
