조선시대(朝鮮時代) 부비흥(賦比興) 논의(論議)의 인식층위(認識層位)에 대한 고찰 = Multiple Layers of Recognition of the Fu-Bi-Xing Concept during the Joseon Dynasty

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본고는 조선시대 『시경』 부비흥론의 양상과 성격을 종합적으로 고찰하여 그 내부에 존재하는 인식의 층위를 탐구하는 데 중심 목적을 두고, 그 시론적 성격으로 층위가 선명한 ‘朱熹 賦比興 체계상의 논의’와 ‘새로운 層位에서의 賦比興 논의’로 구분해 서술하였다. 아울러 朱熹 賦比興 체계에서 확장된 것으로 사료되는, 詩經體를 모방한 詩創作에서의 賦比興 표기와 作詩法 이론의 賦比興 援用 事例를 소개하였다. 이를 통해, 첫째, 조선시대 賦比興 논의는 주희의 賦比興 체계 내에서의 논의가 많은 부분을 차지하나 모든 논의가 賦比興 체계 내에서만 이루어진 것은 아니며 주희의 賦比興 체계해석과 관련된 무수한 논의들에는 해석자의 해석공간이 존재함을 제시하였다. 둘째, 성호와 다산의 賦比興論은 그 논의가 이론적으로 비교적 완정한 체계를 갖추면서 기존설과 다른 새로운 구도를 모색하였을 뿐 아니라 실제 詩篇 분석에서도 이론의 적용 양상이 확인됨을 밝혔다. 셋째, 조선시대에서 표현창작기법을 중심으로 한 부비흥 인식이 시창작의 구체적용과 창작이론 등으로 활용된 양상을 고찰하였다. 본 연구는 추후 조선시대 賦比興 인식과 『시경』및 시문학 인식간의 심층 맥락을 고찰하는 데 참고될 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This paper looks at significant layers of recognition of the Fu-Bi-Xing concept and their characteristics as it appears in the Joseon Dynasty. As an exploration into this concept, this paper focuses on three areas; two of which focus on the Book of Songs: ‘Discussions within the system of Zhuxi``s Fu-Bi-Xing theory’ and ‘Discussions of Fu-Bi-Xing from new perspectives.’ While the third section focuses on the application of Fu- Bi-Xing marked poems as parodies of the Book of Songs and the application of a new creation theory, both of which are assumed to have been influenced by Zhuxi’s theory. After analysis, three tendencies stood out. Firstly, multiple layers of understanding about Fu-Bi-Xing existed during the Joseon Dynasty, despite the predominating influence of Zhuxi``s Fu-Bi-Xing theory. Even within discussions based on Zhuxi’s Fu-Bi-Xing theory, we often still find an "interpreting space" where the interpreters`` stream of thoughts can be actively engaged. Secondly, in Seongho``s and in Dansan``s Fu-Bi-Xing theory which, mainly regard Fu-Bi-Xing as application effects occurring during the process of reading or quoting the Book of Songs, we can not only find that their theories have comparatively complete hermeneutic structures, but can also verify certain concrete interpretations or related interpretations by applying their own theories. Thirdly, this essay analyzes that the understandings of Fu-Bi-Xing, which revolve around the theory that takes Fu-Bi-Xing as poetry creation techniques, are extended to the application of poets’ own writing and creation theory. We believe that this study’s results can be used as reference on further studies to investigate the context that existed between the understandings of Fu-Bi-Xing, and the recognition of the Book of Songs in depth, and poetry in general.
