This research investigates each department`s model of talented people that is used in the admission officers system in K university when choosing students conforming to the university`s mission statement and educational purpose(subject of study 1). In order to observe the admitted students` academic adjustment to university life, the 277 students who have been admitted to K university through the admission officers system in 2014., Then there has been close examination of the students` acquired credits and observation of the characteristics of the credit average(subject of study 2). In addition, in the perspective of the model of talented people with excellence, the students have been divided into the higher 20 percent and the rest according to their admission grades. The credit average of the two groups` major/non-major subjects of their admitted departments, has been additionally investigated. Whether the two groups` average gap shows notable difference has been analysed through the independent sample T-test(subject of study 3). The analysis result shows that the whole credit average of the 277 students admitted through the admission officers system in 2014, as 3.23(SD=.59), and the credit average for major subjects was 3.29(SD=.66), while the credit average of non-major subjects was 3.20(SD=.63). The credit average of the higher 20 percent according to their admission grades, was 3.34(SD=.57), and the credit average of the rest was 3.20(SD=.59). Lastly, the thesis suggests the implicit point and limitations of research through analysis research and the future direction of research.
