This research considered filial behavior view along with Shin Saimdang``s genealogy and the relatives of the family. There is little record about Shin Saimdang``s childhood, however discussion on filial behavior and art philosophy could be identified through Yulgok``s 「Seonbihaengjang」. Also, considering that she completed 3-year mourning as a woman at her parents`` home when his father Shin, Myunghwa passed away during Joseon Dynasty, we can understand her filial love well. And Shin Saimdang not only had virtue as a woman, filial behavior for her parents, right education for children, but also unfolded artistic talent that could not even be imagined during the Joseon society. Following paper of this research will be on significance and prospect of Shin Saimdang``s lifetime and filial behavior/ father, Sir Shin, Myunghwa(申命和)/ mother Yongin Lee(龍仁李氏)/ husband Sir Lee, Wonsoo(李元秀)/ education for 4 sons and 3 daughters/ filial behavior view. In respect that Shin Saimdang has been adored as a mother``s image today, it can be said to be the absolute influence of her mother Yongin Lee and father Sir Shin, Myunghwa``s education. Also, all 4 sons and 3 daughters including Yulgok grew greatly along with mother Shin Saimdang``s education. The point that she posed as a dignified woman artist by coping with male-dominated social inequality of Confucianism, ruling ideology of Joseon Dynasty took was based on the great role of Shin Saimdang``s own artistic esthetic consciousness and ideological background. Shin Saimdang was a benevolent woman with high virtue and personality, at the same time an artist, and as a great mother, she is respected by being a model of our nation``s women. In this respect, it is time to apply a touchstone, modernization of tradition in the21st personality establishment era through Shin Saimdang``s legacy. Therefore, consideration on Shin Saimdang``s filial behavior centered with genealogy or family is a new establishment of Shin Saimdang``s life and basis of art philosophy.
