결혼이주여성 대상 다문화 상담 관련 종사자들의 현장 경험에 대한 질적 연구 = Qualitative Research on the Experiences of Multicultural Counselors Working with Internationally-Married Female Migrants

The purpose of this study was to explore the experiences of multicultural counselors working with internationally-married female migrants in order to acquire in-depth understanding of their personal and professional lives and difficulties they face in multicultural counseling field. 12 counselors were interviewed and, using Consensual Qualitative Research (CQR), 3 main concepts were identified from the results of the interview: psychological state, difficulties, and strategies suggested by the counselors to solve those issues. Based on the results, implications and recommendations to satisfy the counselor's needs and enhance expertise in effectively providing multicultural counseling for internationally-married female migrants.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

최근 한국남성과 결혼한 결혼이주여성 수의 급격한 증가와 더불어 이들의 적응상의 다양한 문제와 심리적인 어려움이 밝혀지면서 이들을 대상으로 하는 다문화 상담 개입의 필요성이 대두되고 있으나 상담에서 중요한 도구인 상담자에 대한 관심이나 학문적 논의는 충분히 이루어 지지 않고 있는 실정이다. 이에 본 연구는 결혼이주여성을 대상으로 심리 상담을 하고 있는 다문화 상담 종사자들의 개인적․전문적 현장경험과 고민을 살펴봄으로써 이들에 대한 심층적 이해에 목적을 두었다. 이를 위해 결혼이주여성 대상 다문화 상담 종사자 12명을 대상으로 심층면접을 실시하였고 합의적 질적 연구법(Consensual Qualitative Research: CQR)에 근거하여 녹음된 면접 자료를 주요개념과 범주로 유목화하는 방법을 통해 공통적인 보고 내용을 추출하였다. 분석 결과는 3개의 중심개념과 각각 3개의 영역, 총 9개의 주제로 나왔고, 이는 다음과 같다. 첫 번째 중심개념은 다문화 상담 종사자들의 심리적 상태로 3개의 영역으로 나뉜다: 영역 1) 상담자로서의 정체성의 혼란; 영역 2) 내담자와 관계 양상; 영역 3) 고립감․외로움 및 소진. 두 번째 중심개념은 상담 종사자들이 겪고 있는 어려움으로 다음과 같이 3개의 영역으로 나뉜다: 영역 1) 다중업무 수행; 영역 2) 문화적 차이를 포함한 내담자의 특성; 영역 3) 사회적 인식 및 지지. 마지막으로 세 번째 중심개념은 대처방안으로 이 역시 3개의 영역으로 나뉜다: 영역 1) 상담자의 정신적 건강을 위한 지지 체계; 영역 2) 다문화 관련 업무 수행을 위한 전문화 교육; 영역 3) 통합적인 조율을 통한 업무 효율성 확보. 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 결혼이주여성 대상 다문화 상담 종사자들이 상담 현장에서 겪는 어려움을 해결하기 위한 방안과 다문화 상담의 전문성 향상을 위한 논의가 제시되었다.
