한국철학 : 申師任堂(신사임당)의 生涯(생애)에 나타난 셀프리더십과 어머니 리더십에 관한 연구- 현대 여성의 리더십교육에 주는 시사점을 중심으로 = Study on the self-leadership and mother-leadership in Sin Saimdang`s life.: Implications on leadership education for woman in modern society

This research is to find implications for modern education of woman leadership based on the consideration of Saimdang’s life and investigation of her self-leadership and mother-leadership. We expect that this research will be suggested as education contents for woman leadership by discovery the factor of Saimdang’s leadership. Although Sin Saimdang was born 500 years ago in strict Confucian society, she is respected as artist and mother who has noble virtue and personality. This study is performed by the literature investigation preceding research and Saimdang’s poetries and oriental paintings. Although Sin Saimdang was born in patriarchal society, she was well grown up as artist showing artistic ability on her poetries and oriental paintings. The Saimdang’s life is regarded as a role model not only for home management but also for rearing children in modern society. The characteristics of Saimdang’s self-leadership are challenge, creativity, and self-directed attitude. Faith, courtesy, filial piety and brotherly love, and future-oriented thought are the factors of Saimdang’s leadership as mother. These values have great meaning in terms of individual growth, home management, and rearing children. Saimdang’s mother leadership is transcendent value beyond the past. We expect that practical research for leadership education will be proceeded based on the discovery of great woman who displayed prominent leadership in our history.
