절명시(絶命詩) 연구 = A Study on the Death Poem

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The death poem means the last poem written right before death. It is written as the last message left when the death is only way to choose including when it is impossible to live due to diseases, when dying for one``s chastity or when being executed due to political reasons. The death testament is the last message or writing which high priests express their enlightenment through asceticism when passing into Nirvana. Although the death poem by Confucian scholars look death on the continuity of life, death is the complete severance from life in the death testament. Death poem or assumed death poem have the same feature that the authors wrote their own death. However, the death poem is closer to death than the assumed death poem. Assumed death poem is to prepare the death which they are not sure when it comes. On the contrary, the death poem more tends to settle the last moment of life without any possibility for recovery. The death poem is closer to death than any other literary works. It``s the records on the own``s death itself. It``s not written by estimation on death or by observing others`` death. The death poem is the message which is still effect because it is the last message to ourselves still alive at the last moment of life.
