조선후기 자서전의 특징적 국면(局面)과 그 의미 = A Study on the features and the meaning of autobiographical writings in late Joseon Dynasty

In late Joseon Dynasty, autobiographical writings exposed one’s taste and individuality, showed self-reflection and self-examination, and wrote everyday life and desire. So this paper focused on these three points, and studied Joseon Dynasty’s autobiographical writings and classical Chinese autobiographical writings altogether. With a result that there are following features. The neglected intellectual persons exposed their taste and individuality for the existence proof. And the urban circumstance also had an effect on the exposing their taste and individuality. Meanwhile, The intellectual persons wrote their autobiographical writings for the self-reflection and self-examination. Because the arranging their personal history in order can’t convey their real lives. Lastly, they wrote everyday life and desire in their autobiographical writings, for the sake of conveying their real lives. In short, autobiographical writings in late Joseon Dynasty focused on human’s inner side and everyday life unlike previously. This feature is very meaningful, because it showed that the intellectual person in late Joseon founded human’s inner side and everyday life. And it is very meaningful that individual, individuality, feeling and the writing style are very literary features.
