The ultimate goal of the intermodal transportation system at a high speed rail is to shorten travel time from the origin to the destination and improve the convenience of travel. The high speed rail can have competitiveness compared to other transportation, especially private car through this goal as mentioned. It is important that the establishment of intermodal transportation system should be planed considering the linkage between individual facilities and integrated efficiency. Gwangju Songjeong Station has been designated as a complex transfer center of national demonstration project and so transportation facilities are planed at which transfer among all available means of transportation such as KTX, intercity bus, subway, etc. is possible. The complex transfer center is planed to develop ways to attract private capital by considering the financial burden. efficient operation of the facility. This study estimates appropriate scale of complex transfer center facilities(city bus stops, parking lots, etc.) at Gwangju Songjeong Station according to The Design and Layout Based on Complex Transfer Center(Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, 2010).
