성인 자기주도학습 측정도구의 신뢰도와 타당도 메타 연구 = A meta-research of Reliability and Validity of Self-directed Learning Scales: Centered on Articles Published in Korean Journals

국문 초록 (Abstract)

자기주도학습은 평생교육 분야의 오랜 연구 주제였다. 1970년대에 Guglielmino에 의해 자기주도학습 측정도구가 개발되었고 양적 연구 적용이 시도되었다. 그러나 Guglielmino 도구의 신뢰도와 타당도에 대한 논란이 진행되었다. 한국에서도 자기주도학습 측정도구의 신뢰도나 타당도에 대한 논의나 개별 연구들에서 이를 검증하는 과정이 강조되지 못하고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 국내 학술지 게재 논문을 수집ㆍ분석하여 신뢰도 및 타당도의 동향과 관련 특성을 실증적으로 분석하였다. 국내 6개 학술DB에서 논문검색을 실시하여 2008년 이후 60편의 논문이 분석에 활용되었다. 분석결과, 최근 자기주도학습 측정도구를 사용하는 논문이 증가하고 있으며, 이공계열, 평생교육, 일반교육학, 경영학 등의 학술지를 중심으로 게재되고 있었다. 그리고 주로 사용되는 도구는 Guglielmino 도구나 이를 수정ㆍ보완한 도구들이었다. 신뢰도는 비교적 안정적이었으나 최근에 와서 하락하는 경향을 보였다. 또한 측정문항수에 의하여 신뢰도가 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났다. 타당도의 경우 타당도 분석을 실시하지 않거나 실시하여도 분석결과를 정확하게 제시하지 않는 논문이 다수 존재하였다. 그리고 타당도 분석결과에서 다수의 문항이 탈락되거나 추출된 요인이 당초의 도구와 차이가 존재하는 경우도 적지 않았다. 이상의 분석결과를 토대로 관련 논의와 시사점을 제시하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Many researchers not only in the ares of lifelong education but also other fields were interested in Self-directed Learning(SDL) and tried to develop scales for SDL and applied to their quantitative studies. Especially, at 1977, Guglielmino developed Self-directed learning Readiness Scale(SDLRS) and many researchers applied the scale to their studies. But the discussions about the reliability and validity of SDLRS spread out and nowadays still continued. In Korea, some researchers had used SDLRS for their studies but they didn't rigorously test or analyze the reliability and validity of the scale.
Based on this critical mind, this study investigated the reliability and validity of SDL instruments used in Korean articles. This study searched 887 articles published in Korean journals between 2008 and 2013 from 6 academic DBs and finally examined 60 articles. according to 20 characteristics. The characteristics were chosen based on theoretical reviews on meta studies of reliability and validity.
The findings were as in the followings: First, the mean of Cronbach's α coefficients of 60 articles was .8605. And the number of items had a positive relations with Cronbach's α coefficients. Second, majority of among 60 articles didn't test the validity of SDL scale or didn't reported the results. Also in some articles 3~35 items of SDL scale were excluded in the process of analyzing the validity. Based on the findings in this study, conclusion and implications were discussed.
