보육교사-유아 상호작용과 유아의 또래놀이행동 간의 관계에서 부모-교사 협력의 조절효과 = The relationship between teacher-child interaction and peer play behaviors among young children: the moderating role of parent-teacher partnerships

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study investigates the effects of the teacher-child interaction and parent-teacher partnerships on peer play behaviors among young children. A nationally representative sample of 800 3-year-old children from the Panel Study on Korean Children (2011) were assessed according to the Penn Interactive Peer Play Scale (PIPPS), Fantuzzo et al., 1998. The data were analyzed by hierarchical regression using the SPSS program. After controlling for young children`s characteristics, the study finds the quality of teacher-child interactions and parent-teacher conferencing to be associated with positive and negative peer play behaviors. Moreover, parent-teacher conferencing was seen to moderate the association between the quality of teacher-child interaction and the peer play behaviors among young children. These findings demonstrate that strong parent-teacher partnerships emphasizing the teacher`s close communication with parents are necessary for young children to develop and sustain positive peer play behaviors.
