보호자로부터의 학대경험이 아동의 학교적응에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 = The Impact of Abuse Experience from Caregivers on Children`s School Adjustment -Focusing on the Mediating Effects of Depression and Aggression-

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 보호자로부터의 학대경험이 아동의 학교적응에 미치는 영향과 우울과 공격성을 통해 매개효과가 있는지 살펴보았다. 이를 위해 한국청소 년정책연구원에서 실시한 ‘한국아동·청소년패널조사(KCYPS)2010’의 3차년도 자료를 사용하였으며, 2013년 기준 초등학교 6학년, 중학교 3학년 총 4,315명을 대상으로 분석하였다. 본 연구의 조사결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 아동학대 경험실태를 분석한 결과 조사대상자 중 11.1%가 정서학대를 경험하였고, 8.1%가 신체학대를 경험하였으며, 2.7%가 방임을 경험한 것으로 나타나 정서학대가 심각한 수준인 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 일반적 특성에 따른 아동학대, 학교적응의 차이를 분석한 결과 성별과 연령, 가구소득과 가족구성에 따라 아동학대와 학교적응이 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 셋째, 아동학대 경험과 학교적응의 관계에서 우울과 공격성의 매개효과를 살펴본 결과 우울과 공격성이 부분매개효과를 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 아동학대와 학교적응을 위한 실천적 함의로 학대를 경험한 아동들의 우울과 공격성에 대한 다양한 프로그램 개발과 학교내 사회복지서비스 제공의 필요성을 제안하였다.

The aim of this study is to find the relationship between abuse experience from caregivers and children`s school adjustment and to verify the mediating effects of depression and aggression. For the purpose of the study, data from the 2010 Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey(2010 KCYPS) were used. The sample consists of 4,315 students who were either 6th graders in elementary school and 3rd graders in middle school. The results are as the following. First, among the 4,315 child, 11.1% reported experiencing psychological abuse, 8.1% reported experiencing physical abuse, and 2.7% reported experiencing neglect. Second, the level of abuse experience and school adjustment differed by gender, age, family income, and family structure. Third, depression and aggression was found to have a mediating effect on the association between abuse experiences and child`s school adjustment. The results suggest the need for a variety of programs for children who have experienced abuse, depression, and aggression and the need to provide social welfare service in schools.
